Oh+Futon
Hathairat Charoenchaichana better known as Oh+Futon is musical performer and artist. Know for her work with the band Futon, she has also toured in support of her current solo album. With a very distinctive drawn and painted style Oh+Futon has exhibited her artworks in Thailand and Germany and has done creative collaborations with brands like Fendi, Hp, Levis & Vespa. Her first book Travelogue has been published and collects drawings and observations from her many travels. Oh+Futon currently lives and works in Bangkok.

Ashkahn Studio + Co. is the studio of artist, designer and all around Bon Vivant, Ashkahn Shahparnia (pronounced Ash-Con-Shaw-par-neeyah). Founded in 2009, the studio creates exciting & conceptually based projects in print design, music package design, apparel design, typography, accessory and product design. Ashkahn was born in 1984 and received his B.F.A. in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art & Design. In 2010, Ashkahn was nominated for Print Magazine’s “Top 20 Under 30″ new visual artists. He lives and works in LA, California. Ashkahn’s client list includes: NBC, Pinkberry, Paper Magazine, Obey Giant, Capitol Records, Warp Records, Color Magazine, ABC.

Friends & Lovers : A Contemporary Poster Art Exhibition

Show Runs November 21st – 30th at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center
Part of the Bangkok Design Festival 2010

Opening Reception: November 21st 5-9pm

Utilizing on-line social networks, skype and old fashioned phone calls we reached out to the international creative community challenging them to visually represent the abstract concepts of friendship and love within a single poster design. The results are showcased in the exhibition Friends & Lovers. Along with viewing the art attendees will have the chance to purchase and take home their favorite design. Posters are a very affordable and highly collectable medium allowing art and design to easily integrate with daily life and the mass market. Show casing traditional design techniques Friends & Lovers with include hand silk-screened posters along with contemporary digital prints.

Featuring new works from: Cody Hudson, P7, Victor Reyes, MAMAFAKA, Justin Fines of DEMO, OH+FUTON, Jessy Nite, KULT, Ashkahn Shahparnia, Nokhook, The Little Friends of Printmaking, & other surprise guests. . .
